"Seeing" images in my head...?
I'll be about to do something that would normally be courteous or socially acceptable, normal, etc. and a brief image will vividly pop up into my head like, instead of holding a door open, smashing someone's head in it. Instead of walking beside someone, slamming them into a locker. Brutally murdering people... People I LOVE and CARE ABOUT more than ANYTHING. Brutal ways I could die...
I'm NOT violent. I'm NOT an angry person. I'm NOT what these images depict, I will NEVER, EVER let ANYTHING those images suggest actually happen... I'd sooner take my life.
I try to be the nicest I can to people, but the thoughts... The "images", are tearing me apart inside...

Google the symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This is very often one of the symptoms. You could even be Pure O, which means you don't have rituals, you just have the thought-symptoms related to OCD.
The images could be linked to a number of things, or nothing at all, but if you are a relatively "normal" person in all other respects, then this is a good place to start. I promise you, there are a LOT of people who have these sort of involuntary thoughts. Please don't feel bad about it. If you think there is a chance they could drive you to hurt somebody or yourself, however, PLEASE promise me you'll tell somebody straight away.
