I am looking for some new books to read. I enjoy a lot of books by Jodi Picoult, Jennifer Weiner, and Nicholas Sparks. I need some new material - when I read to much from one author the books all blur together and seem to have the same characters!
Can anyone suggest some new books/authors that are along that same type of book? I'm trying to work on my Christmas list :)

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells & Queen of Babble, and tons of others), Sophie Kinsella's (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] & Remember Me), Jennifer Weiner (Good in Bed & Certain Girls) and Emily Giffin (Something Borrowed & Something Blue) books. They are all great authors!
For a young adult/teen Meg Cabot's young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, Airhead and more. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.
If you want more info or any of the authors website's email me.

I have read those authors also, but my favorite is one I recommend to everyone, Diana Gabaldon. Her "Outlander" saga is very addictive. Yes, it is thick books, long stories, but very enthralling. Not romance stories, but romance is at the base. Also history, a little mysitic/scifi aspects, family saga-just a bit of everything all mixed up in one series about a woman from this last century who time travel to Scotland in the mid to late 1800s. Or try some of Anne Rice's books-they can be addictive.
The previous posting mentioned Janet Evanovich, but didn't mention her hilarious series about Stephanie Plum the female bounty hunter.

Based on the authors you enjoy, you should have a look at Jennifer Green.
If you go to http://www.amazon.com/ and look up some of your favorite authors, you will find lists of recommendations from like-minded readers. You might find that helpful, too.
Try anything by Kristin Hannah. "On Mystic Lake" is my favorite by her.
