I'm listening to jazz music for the first time. I don't know how to appreciate most jazz pieces. Most sound too complicated, and I have no cultural reference to appreciate them.
However, I did stumble on a few tracks I really like, all by George Gershwin:
- Rhapsody in Blue
- Strike up the Band
- Blues
I like these because they make me think about watching Bugs Bunny cartoons as a kid. As for the other Gershwin jazz music, I didn't really understand them.
Can anyone recommend other jazz music that I might like? I hate anything that has lyrics.
