I am thinking of purchasing a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse for about $3000 with 140K miles. The only problem with thew car is that the radio is out. About how much would it cost to replace the audio system (parts and labor), and how long this usually takes? Thanks

Quality always matters. If you are looking for something more better then you have to pay more.

It all depends what you are looking for.
If you are just wanting something that is basically a stock stereo you can get some pioneer subs, and a head unit for about $ each.
If you are wanting something that is really good for sound quality I would recommend replacing your stock speakers with these mids.

You would also probably need a 4-channel amplifier though. I recommend this one.
