My uncle found a bearded sand king dragon, in an abandoned house. Obviously, the lizard was neglected. Anyway, my uncle left it here. The question is, Is my setup good? I'm going on what my uncle said, because he's like a reptile, God.
My lizard is 15 inches long
HERES MY SETUP:
20 gallon Tank.
Zilla, sand
2 by 3 inch water bowl
2 hides one on hot side one on shady side.
99 Degree heat rock 24 hours
Food bowl, goodies
ZILLA, 250 Watt day bulb 15 hours
Sills, 150 Watt night bulb 10 hours
Feed once a month.
Hampsters, Ginny Pigs, or Shrimp.
Dried fruits.
My uncle said to put pressure on its back legs for 10-25 seconds a day till I can sex it. He said that if its a male its belly will turn Red.
If its a female its belly will turn purple and it will bleed from its nostrils.
Is this correct? this is the way its been for months and its doing okay.. The only thing that is wrong with the dragon is it walks kinda funny... the dragon must of got hurt over night.. im sure it will heal up. anyway,I still have tried severale times sexing it and my uncle says its too young.

Okay, I hope to god you're a troll!
don't put pressure on the dragon's back, you will injure him or her. to sex a dragon , ,simply lift the tail up. two bulges=male
loose the sand ASAP, this can cause impaction which can be fatal. Heat rocks can easily over heat and cause horrible burns-loose that too.
bearded dragons don't change colour depending on gender.
feed 1-2 times a day crickets, locusts, roaches , green veggies.. no mammals-ever!
Please look at a care sheet now. right now.
