saved files disappear in windows 7 starter?
I have moved some files into my new netbook featuring Windows 7 starter (I know crap OS)...the files, after transferring, don't show up in the folders I copied them to! If I use a program to open the file it is there but with a little lock on it (?)...WTF? ANyone know about this?
Yes I clicked "show hidden files/folders" but have the same problem

Maybe the file permissions are under the original computer's account. Right-click them and try to change their permissions.
