Short, unfinished dance poem for school?

Poem for upcoming English class; it's due on the 31st. Any thoughts? What is your impression of what's going on?

Personal Release

There is plenty to flee;

I turn to my familiar escape:

Freedom of motion.

Center my weight, and move with grace.

Like a puppet on a string—lifting.

The twinkling lights above

Aren’t stage lights because

They can only be seen when the night is clear.

With driveway below, I put on a show.

It’s not meant for eyes, but moonbeams witness.

Impulses of energy stream

From fingertips to feet:

I can feel them.

It looks like I’m hiding a secret

In the discreet whisper of an arabesque.

The darkness holds an air of mystery.

Now inhale and exhale.

The pavement threatens to rip at my soles,

But I welcome it because I can’t feel pain

When I pour out my soul for the nighttime to bear.

Line

Line:

Improvisation.

It’s as fluid and natural

As a watercolor done in pastel hues.
