I was told to go back and get my stitches out 10 days after they were put in and the hospital made me an appointment to come back roughly 8 1/2 days after and said they weren’t nearly ready to come out and I’ve booked me another appointment in a further weeks time. So 15 1/2 days after the injury. I had a sneak peek under the plaster to see if it was looking any more healed And I only looked at one stitch but the end with the knot is still very visible but the other side has gone completely! Don't worry about that. The suture material is a lot like nylon fishing line tied in a loop. It slides easily, so the knot just worked its way to one side. But they really can't get stuck, so it's not a problem. They might have to tug on the sutures a bit when removing them, but that's quite normal. No worries, mate.
