I was told to go back and get my stitches out 10 days after they were put in and the hospital made me an appointment to come back roughly 8 1/2 days after and said they weren’t nearly ready to come out and I’ve booked me another appointment in a further weeks time. So 15 1/2 days after the injury. I had a sneak peek under the plaster to see if it was looking any more healed
And I only looked at one stitch but the end with the knot is still very visible but the other side has gone completely!
How are they gonna get hold of it to cut it to pull it out?

Don't worry about that. The suture material is a lot like nylon fishing line tied in a loop. It slides easily, so the knot just worked its way to one side. But they really can't get stuck, so it's not a problem. They might have to tug on the sutures a bit when removing them, but that's quite normal. No worries, mate.
Its the dissolving stitches they used. They use them alot anymore
