I had Lydia as a follower and when on the quest for the mage's guild to find the Orb she died while fighting an undead. I used the console command player.moveto a2c94 and only found the Axe I have her as a weapon yet didn't find her body. I used a2c94.resurrect 1 and it brought he back to life and the weapon disappeared off the ground yet she wasn't my "follower" nor did she have any of the equipment I gave her. I can't get her to follow me nor can I get anyone else to follow me. She just goes back to my Breezehome. I tried console killing her and bringing her back along with useing the disable command to remove her completely, but neither allowed me to get a new companion. I would like to know how I can just get someone else to follow me. I'd hate to have to restart the game. I'm so far along and my starts are very high. I'd like to know if I could disable current followers or something similar to that. I've also tried sleeping in my own bed, resting, fast traveling, etc... I slept for a whole month and she never appeared anywhere without using a console command. PLEASE HELP!

I don't think you get it I'm trying to use the console commands to attempt to fix the bug that has occurred within the game. Not cheating, trying to make the game playable again. I cant kill her, her body has disappeared from the game. I can't get another follower because no one will follow me since the game thinks lydia still is, I could care less about having her as a follower I just want one. The next person to comment please read everything I wrote try not to be smart and if you don't get what I'm saying don't answer. This is a bug within the game I'm trying to find a way to correct to play the game normally.
