why was there women suffrage..they weren't treated the same as men and didn't have the right to vote after awhile & mostly stayed home. o.o why was that?
Get some facts first - here in australia univrsal male suffrage came into plac ein 1896 - universal female suffrage came in in 1900 - a difference of four years. New Zealand had universal suffrage even earlier.
In Britain, the activities of the suffragettes actually delayed the suffrage of women, since they were so blatantly terrorist that no civilised government would ever give in to them.
So - before you start accepting everything you're handed as a 'given' - get some facts first. It appalls me that any teching system would dictate in advance the parameters of a discussion - so as to exclude fact and reality and suit an agenda.
If I want that sort of rubbish, I need only go into a court and watch the antics that go on.
ok, the suffragettes (actual name) begane their movement back when more than women didn't have the right to vote. in the U.K. back in the 1920's and earlier, if you didn't own land or if you weren't the head of the household, you also could not vote, it wasn't just women. The suffragettes didn't advocate for all people thast couldn't vote... they just fought for women's wants, and no one else's, and it gets worse... The titanic sank back in 1920 on its maiden voyage, so when the ship went down, men who wanted to save their self were shot on sight, boats were filled with women and children only, men were disposable and left to die for some misguided sense of honor and duty, women overe the age of 60 are known to have been on those boats, while men in their 20's and younger froze to death... the ship sank BEFORE women had the vote, so women always had privilege, and were never oppressed as a class.
to top all of this off, it is in the New York Times that right after the ship sank, the suffraggettes are recorded as saying that while the rest of the country believe the men did a brave and exceptional thing giving their lives for everyone else, they (the suffraggetes) believed that the men that died didn't deserve any special attention because it was the natural law that women are better than men, and that men should always sacrifice themselves for women (for no apparent reason other thanthey are women)
ask your teacher about this and if they don't know then google it onthe actual newspaper from that time... hope this brings a shock value to you and you learn something new... women were NEVER oppressed, they have always been the class of privilege
females extra often than no longer are merely easy lazy. cleansing soap operas and sunlight hours television like Oprah, Ellen, and Dr Phil practice that they only ought to observe the tube and consume their Nutri gadget lunches to have an entire, efficient day. playstation -- I ignored the cost is sturdy right this moment as a results of a delusion baseball online assembly--did every person win the exhibit?
