I am looking into becoming a sonographer. I was wondering if, when searching for a job, does it matter if you attended a tech school or a university. thank you
Really doesn't matter, but the program DOES need to be CAAHEP accredited so you'll be registry-eligible immediately after graduating. Once you are registered, no one really cares what type of degree you had. http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/
An associate's is completely sufficient for working in the field. However, it may be beneficial for you to have a bachelor's for the future in case something happens and you can no longer physically scan (that way you could teach or go into sales, etc).
what i do is take notes and definitions etc. that are significant to the section we are engaged on. then i turn those notes and definitions into notecards, i punch a hollow interior the observe card and carry them including a binder ring and while ever I also have a spare minute i pull them out and be taught them. so some distance it has helped me as i havent gotten a attempt grade under an 80%. in case you do no longer decide to try this or it doesnt help you, then i recommend chatting with your consultant/counselor as maximum faculties have a unfastened tutoring provider available to enrolled pupils. terrific of success
No, it does not matter as long as your program is accredited. However, most hospital prefer hiring someone who has a RT (radiography technologist) as well as a sonography certificate.
