Hey. I'm trying to render a HD video of game footage, and the best quality video format I found so far is .mp4 (XDCAM), however this will only render the video without any audio (it works fine for other formats, but the video doesn't look as crisp and nice). I made sure to include audio in the render settings. How can I render the audio with the video?
Update:another thing that's interesting is that trying to render it in .avi format will render only the audio without the video.

I think the video source you are trying to convert has an audio that need a especial codec.
Do a test with another video.
Try to convert that source with an external video converter, before Sony Vegas.
Good luck.
You responded your guy or lady question. optimal severe is the format you render to. h.264 is super and seems very small records for some super looking 720p video. besides the reality that it is all on your sony vegas settings. i prefer to propose you pass to youtube and initiate staring at some vegas educational video clips, there are alot and looking out on precisely what your working with, the respond could be there.
