I've just found a spider in my apple and custard pastry from Morrison.
Should I go back and complain?
Does anybody know the laws in the UK regarding insects found in food?
I have kept the evidence.
Thanks!

Certainly take it back, not only will you benefit from it by not losing any money on something you cant eat but they will also be aware of it and can avoid it ever happening again and ever having any other complaints :)
Was this spider dead and baked into the pie though? If not there's a possibility of it crawling in whilst being packaged. If so it's your call whether to take it back or not :)
Hope I've helped
much love :P
People in Cambodia would take it back an ask for more spiders.
I am not familiar with UK laws regarding contamination of foodstuff.
In the US, our FDA sets rather strict standards in terms of allowable 'parts per million' of various contaminants. violations are severe. Some people try to capitalize on this by bringing their own 'roach'
to make claims. Courts reject these for lack of evidence, but in some cases like the recent McDonalds incident, the employee is going to jail for spitting in customers iced tea.
Even if laws are much more lenient in the UK, unless you Brits have become real *******, I would think the proprietor would gladly replace or refund your pastry, humbly apologize, and welcome your complaint to see that it doesn't happen again.
If you really want to return it, I would say go for it. But if this has only been a one time thing, and normally their quality is on par, then wave it off and either buy another or just trash it. No place is perfect, but if you suspect them to be an uncleanly facility then maybe it is best to take it back and make a scene.
I am sure you will get your money back, if not a different pastry in return.
Please by all means take it back. Some times these things do happen. They will give you either you money back or a fresh pastry. Spiders are everywhere and small.
Do you no longer be counted on your self and asking to price you?it truly is awesome?you ought to be confident and self sustaining of others,or you'll not be at liberty ever in life>
yes or complain to a food inspector
Yes, you should definitely go back and complain.
Take it back and threaten them with legal action. You will get compensation.
