My father was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. He has been having this untreated since last june but doctors kept assuming it was just a disc problem and ignored it. This month we found out it had spread to his back and formed a tumor. Two weeks ago the doctor operated and was able to completely remove the tumor and clean around it and also put a bone structure to keep his bones strong and well. He starts chemo in 2 weeks. Does anyone have any advice? Its already a miracle that he went almost 9 months untreated and is still here with us. Is there anything we can to help? certain diets? Or any stories you would like to share? Anything will help right now, thanks!

Years ago, I got a call from my dad one day telling me he had malignant melanoma and the doctor said he might be dead in 2 months. I didn't know what to do. He had always been healthy. I called my sister and brother and then sort of went numb. I used to drink a lot but for some reason didn't think of it that day. I thought maybe I should call the hospital or something. I looked out the window and wondered why cars were going by and people were acting normal. A while later, I called my sister again. I didn't know she had recently become a born-again Christian. She told me not to worry, that many people were praying for dad and all would be OK. She started talking about Jesus Christ and it felt like a heavy burden came off my shoulders. She told me to pray and read the New Testament. I got "saved" that day. My father had a surgery and lived another 14 years. My advice to you is to put your trust in the Lord. He has helped me with many other problems over the years also. He is faithful. I'll pray for you and your father. Hope that helps.
They can't give him chemo because of a broken leg? Tough break and sorry to hear that SpaceMonkey. This sounds like one of those horrible email forwards where the 7 year old not only has lung cancer but also has a tumor from being beaten on the head and yet the little girl has time to send out emails begging for money so the doctors can heal her, and yet the doctors don't care enough that someone in her family beats her.
9 years ago my dad had stage 4 lung cancer and had part of his lung removed and he recovered well he was 73 years old but didn't have chemo, we were ignorant to the fact that he should have had chemo but 3 years later he got stomach cancer and died 6 weeks later, just make sure your dad gets the chemo and follows what the doctors says, the chemo will make him very weak and unwell as my sister had chemo last year for breast cancer, Good Luck
His cancer is advanced. It will come back. It would be wise to celebrate family events early, take lots of photos. The doctors may have done this surgery to de-bulk the tumor and to avoid paralysis. You will have to ask them about the future.

for best results.
vitimin shoppe sells it and other health food stores, amazon etc.
Put him on the budwig quark diet.
He needs a good B and D vitamins.
Id also look into IP6,astaxanthin,and kombucha tea.
If he was diagnosed at stage 4, it means it as spread to other organs and will be difficult, if not impossible, to completely eliminate/cure.
A good diet will help and there are a lot of viamins he should take, along with probiotics.
He needs you so stay with him as much as possible.
Just spend time with him and love him :-)
