I'm in highschool and I'm taking a program called University Prep and so far I haven't failed any classes, but I am failing lots of chemistry and geometry tests lately and I'm scared I will fail those two classes then I won't be in this wonderful program anymore.
I took my major chem test on thurs and I don't think I did good.
And everyday I get piled with homework on top of homework.
I know I knew what I was getting into when I joined the program, and I really want to stay in it, but it's SO HARD.
Here are my current grades over the 6 weeks, but I'm sure they'll drop because of the stupid tests:
Chemistry:
90 87 80 84 86
Geometry:
91 85 79 80 83

I get what you mean, my high school is really hard and they give A LOT of homework.
But anyways, don't give up! Perhaps you can talk to your geo and chem teachers about it? And if you don't understand something, you can ask them, or friends to help you :D
Please don't stress out on it. Talk to the teachers, or your counsellor about it to let them know you really want to bs in the program. And remember, grades ARE NOT everything! Extra curriculars and sports are just as important.
So some advice...
Maybe, for geometry, it would help if you visualized the problem by drawing it. Last year, I took geometry, and drawing it out so I could see everything was helpful for me. Also, make sure you know the formulas. I'm not sure if your class goes over how to even get the formulas (algebraically), but yeah, if you do, drawing definitely helps(:
As for chemistry, maybe looking over the sections you are studying in your textbook will help you, or you can look it up online. This year I'm taking chem too, and we mainly do a bunch of labs. Everytime I don't understand something, I might look in the textbook about it, or google it.
