i have termites.
so they did some sort of heat treatment. which was very hot, and was 9 hours.
then they removed carpet.
if they did, heat treatment for 9 freaking hours, why do they have to even fumigate.
even more, why are they coming back to fumigate a second time?

can only guess the heat treatment did not get rid of the problem and now will have to fumigate...the fumigation will keep you away for days rather than hours
Heat can be good but isn't 100% certain as it can be hard to get every bit of timber hot enough to kill them. Fumigation with toxic gas is much surer. They have to kill every little colony (and there may be hundreds).
A termatrac device is a great way for them to see if any remain alive.
