Okay so I was eating dinner, and I looked over at my 5 finches, and noticed that three were roosting on the perch and looked kind of fluffy. Like they had just taken a bath. But there wasnt any water on the floor, (my birds like to splash) so they couldnt have just taken a bath. But then I noticed that two were at the bottom of the cage, dead. What could have killed them? (I just looked in their cage this morning and they all were fine!) I noticed that most of their food was gone, but I had just filled it this morning, and they had fresh water. The paper in the bottom of their cage had been changed just a few days ago, as well. I'm so worried! We had this happen to one finch about 8 months ago. The other didnt die, but he is one of the three left now. Are they sick? What could they possibly have died from? And what should I do about the three fluffy ones?

i'm not sure about illnesses... but always try to make sure the temperature in the room is warm enough so the birds don't get a chill, as well. i had 2 birds die from that.
Maybe they got too cold? Zebras are best kept in 65 - 75 degrees F.
They can also transmit viruses between each other. I'm not sure what happened there. How old are they?
