I know that I can receive unemployment benefits while I'm going to school if I'm still meeting all the requirements(which I am, my school is full time, but 2 days a week). I certified for the week ending the 13th, but because I started school week of the 7th, I only got paid for one week. I'm wondering how long it will take for me to get the questionnaire/phone call so ill be able to continue to get my benefits, and if I'll be able to certify for my weekly benefits for the next 2 weeks, or if I need to call even though the site says a web cert is good. I live in California. Thanks.
Update:I do plan on going to school either the other five days or after school hours. I have no problems with accepting full time work.
Please don't respond if you don't have an answer to my question, thanks.

Once you give them the information, and they approve it, everything should go smoothly unless something changes, as far as what hours you are going, etc.
There is nothing wrong with going to school while on unemployment. In fact, some states encourage it, and some employers will ask in an interview what you have done to improve yourself while unemployed.
The problem is with people who try to use unemployment to subsidize themselves while attending school, and have no intent of looking for or obtaining employment. For example, they attend school M-F 8am-3 pm, and the type of work they are looking for is typically an 8-5 job. As long as it does not appear you are trying to do this, you should be fine.
And you are to be commended for trying to better yourself!!
So California lets you collect unemployment while you go to school? No wonder the state is bankrupt. In most states you must be able to accept employment if offered. I don't suppose you intend to work the other five days of the week that you are not in school.
