3 way tie between 39/Smooth, Dookie, and Warning. you cant get any more to-the-point than 39/Smooth, Dookie was HUGELY instrumental in bringing Punk back to the mainstream, and I really like the upbeat tone on Warning.
Mike Dirnt is my favorite member. He's very talented, and I really like his quiet personality. He doesn't throw himself out there like Billie and Tre seem to do.
American Idiot. I love Green Day and love all the stuff they have done, and even though a huge portion of old fans don't like it I think it showed a huge evolution for them. Instead of being the apathetic sarcastic teenagers making pop-punk they suddenly had a message to bring to the people, Start caring. With the songs of that album they started to tackle subjects that they hadn't before and suddenly became more than just a poppy punk band and became a band worth their weight in praise. Not all the songs had a deep message, but I think that also adds. If it was all a giant anti-bush album I don't think I would like it, but it manages to mix political messages with just good songs.
I would say Dookie. All the my fave songs from them are on that album like Basket case, Longview and When I Come Around. I miss their punk days. My next fave would be Nimrod then American Idiot.
my favorite album is Dookie because it was when they sounded most punk-like and i really liked the songs alot.... and my favorite member is prob Tre Cool cuz he's so crazy and awesome XD

It's a tie between Dookie and Insomniac. Their new stuff is alright, but nothing as good as the old.
My favorite member is probably Billie Joe Armstrong
Dookie was their only good album, then came MTV and the awful albums that made them trash. I couldnt care enough to name a favorite member
