I am looking for a new cordless drill. The batteries in my Dewalt have died. It was a decent drill but to buy new batteries for it costs as much a a new drill.
Here is a link to a review on Bosch that I thought was interesting.

I really like my 18V Ridgid. When the battery fails, it can be replaced free.
For heavy use, I'd go for either a Makita or a Milwaukee, mainly because of their durability and performance. For occasional use, I'd recommend a Porter-Cable or a Rigid. The newer DeWalts fit somewhere in the middle.
Stick with Dewalt, the old drill is still good so you can use it for dirty, rough jobs and keep your new drill clean.
I have a drill master, [from harbor freight] 18 volt, $19.95
it has been running for 3 yrs now, new batteries are $14
buy another dewalt.
