I suggest Vista. I myself was heavily against switching over to Vista from XP but the issue is you will NOT get customer support after a certain point (I think 2010). It's been a few years since Vista has come out and it's not the unstable OS it once was. Vista's getting better and you don't want to be stuck with a dead OS with no support. Eventually you will have to switch since there are more applications (Electronics and programs) coming out specifically for the Vista, so yeah.Plus a free upgrade to Win 7 isn't bad.
It depends. Vista will upgrade to Windows 7, but you may need to contact the manufacturer. If you are a gamer, all you have to do is see the system requirement, then select the best system accordingly.
If you by a new computer, you should be able to get a free Windows 7 upgrade. I prefer XP. I returned my Vista PCs because Vista wasn't answering the mail. I understand Vista has improved over the last few months, but it's still a resource hog.
I find running XP in the enhanced mode is better than using Vista direct 10X. There will be plenty of support for XP through April 10, 2014.
Ask the manufacturer if they will give you a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out before you buy you new computer. If you have an older computer, I would use XP
Vista works and for some people (usually those with very high-spec computers) they say it is great. Personally I hate it, it's a horrendously slow piece of bloatware.
I'm my opinion you should stick with XP and replace it with Windows 7 when it comes out. I've tried the evaluation of Windows 7 and it is pretty good.
vista is all about looks
its trying to copy the interface of the mac osx but it just cant seem to up the bar higher ahah
the interface of windows xp is way easier and it works faster cuz theres less of the random **** thats added in for no reason to slow it down ahahah
Vista an win7 are cool for high-end boxes.
I prefer winXP on Laptops.
You will have to FDISK (Diskpart) your drive in order to be able to install winXP.
You can even remove your existing drive and install a new blank one, format it and use winXP.
You'll need all of them winXP drivers ready before hand of course.
Visit the company support site and download them all on a USB thumb drive.
