Impala's 305 horsepower with two tons of American muscle VS Celica's 180 horsepower in weight nearly 1500 pounds lighter. I have a feeling that the impala would definitely win on a drag race, but how about a free-for-all street race with no limits (i.e. cops, signs, lights). They are both front-wheel drive so I know that neither of them can drift, but who would win. I think the Celica would pull it off due to its lighter framework. What are your thoughts and why?

The Impala is so advanced in technology that the Celica would not stand a drag race chance of winning.
Don't call the 2014 Impala American muscle. Calling that a muscle car is an insult to the original Impalas. Heck, even the old W-body Impala SS would be insulted by hearing its successor called a muscle car.
That said, I'd put my money on the Celica. It's a very underwhelming car, but it does at least have sporting aspirations. Looking at 0-60 times, it looks as though the Celica is about one second faster, at 6.5 seconds. Neither car is remarkable, so it's not going to be much of a race. The Impala wouldn't do well in a street race, and only a very modified Celica would be much fun to watch.
