Final Fantasy X, or GTA San Andreas. Both have had a huge impact on my life as a gamer. Final Fantasy X introduced me to the possibility of a game being more art than gameplay, while San Andreas showed me what a sandbox, excellent physics engine, and talented writing could make a fairly average idea into something near perfection and still blows me away with how much content was within the game.
In the end, the game I would play for all eternity would be GTA San Andreas, and for that reason I consider it my favourite game of all time and so do many others. Lately there have been some games that are surpassing it such as Saints Row 3 but it's the nostalgia for me.
I play a lot and my favorites change up from time to time but right now it most definitely has to be Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. It's probably one of the best games I've played; the grahpics are amazing it's seriously like a movie and the storyline is just so epic! The story just had so many unexpected twists and turns that I never knew what was going to happen next. The character development and their own personal stories were really well put together as well. After I finished the game I really did care about all the characters and I couldn't wait to play the next one.
My favorite video game is Grand Theft Auto III because it's fun killing people in that game and it has awesome weapons, cool characters, a crazy storyline and cool cars. It's fun to cause trouble in that game and it's a very fun game overall.
It is a prophecy. Just about everything in that game will come true, and I say this with confidence because so much of it already has. Human augmentation has been researched and subject to experimentation since the 1960s.
Once I was playing the game, and there was this eBook on a table, so I picked it up and read it. It talked about a researcher who had been experimenting with neural implants in primates to control a robotic arm. Skip ahead to the end, in the early 2000s another researcher was continuing the work, and was actually able to succeed in what they were trying to do. The end result was a monkey that had implants in it's brain, and it wanted the food on the table in front of it, so by thinking about picking up the food his brain engaged the neural implants and caused a highly advanced robotic arm to make a fluid human motion to pick up the fruit, and bring it to it's mouth. The eBook gave the doctor's name, so I thought I would test the credibility of the game and I looked him up online. Turns out, everything in that eBook happened, so I looked for a way to contact him. Eventually I got his email address, and emailed him to tell him that I greatly supported his work, and hope to see such amazing breakthroughs in future, and that I was also going to school for robotics/biotechnology. About a week later, he actually responded, and I was blown away, it felt like talking to a celebrity, except better because this person contributes something to society. He told me he was happy to hear that there are people out there who care about his field of science, and that there is someone striving to contribute to it.
Just think about this, it means someone who loses an arm in an accident can undergo a cybernetic arm prosthesis, and have a fully functional robotic arm that is controlled the same way their real arm is controlled. Human augmentation is the future, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution gives you a really good idea of what it's going to be like.
Click on this link. This is done from the perspective of religious people and "purists", so it will be saying how augmentation is bad, but that's just part of the show so to speak. Play the game, it's amazing.
Out of the games I'm currently playing, my favorites are Hitman Absolution and The Walking Dead. But my favorite game of all time is the Uncharted series. Cinematic game play, great voice acting and witty writing make for the best series ever.
2. Loveable, regular looking characters (instead of those spiky haired, giant eyed anime characters with pointy noses and over-bites)
3. Great humor, including enemies such as Master Belch and Mini-Barf.
4. It's many pop-culture refernces
5. Modern society and real life feeling (except for all of the crazy alien-like stages)
6. Entertaining music
The only complaints I have about Earthbound is that the enemy battles sometimes become relentless and you can't get away from them. And that Nintendo never brought any sequel to North America.
The Legend of Dragoon, It is my childhood classic and still to this day even with the amount of great games coming out it's my favorite for many reasons, and the main is just the story was so rich and overwhelming, the music was so beautiful and fit every part of ambient mood, the characters were all memorable in their own little way, and the artwork and cinematic were just legendary for its time.
Tekken is my favorite video game because it has very beautiful graphics and realistic game play such as Tekken 6 and Tekken tag 2 that their graphics have greatly improved compared to the previous Tekken games but I still love the previous Tekken games. The reason why I kept playing Tekken for years its because there is a character who is based on Bruce Lee and Bruce Lee is my favorite martial artist, and the character is named as Law and there are two of them as father and son and their appearance, moves and battle cries are very similar to Bruce Lee and they are my favorite characters.
id have to say the grand theft auto series. No game I have ever played really gave me the chance to explore beyond missions/quests etc... its truly an environment possibilities. Take san andreas for example, if you're bored you can head on over to verdant meadows jump in your hydra and explore the skies. Rockstar did good, they wanted the people to see game play from a different perspective and did just that.
