Who needs the added whistles and such, they are just bigger programs with issues still being worked out.
Do this if you want a 7 version,,,,
Click on Start Button/ Settings/ Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs.
DUMP anything that says Yahoo Messenger (toolbar, address book etc etc etc) they will be listed at the bottom of that window if there are any), and go to this website,,,,,
type in Yahoo Messenger (at the bottom of the page in the Google search bar, make sure the dot is in the www.oldversion.com option, hit Search click on the first link under the Web results (it will take you to the Older Version site, scroll down and you can see where you can pick which one YOU want).

PS. No, you will NOT lose any Contacts from a previous version you ran, they are all saved on Yahoos Sever and will transfer to whatever version you install.
