i love my kitchenaid. had it now for over 10 years. you can buy alot of different accessories depending on how you use it. we have the pasta attachment. i live in a state where we can go to the outlet and buy things. (found this out recently) i want to add the meat grinder. the name kitchenaid is a name i trust. i took cooking in h.s and then later in a more professional training ( to become a first cook/sous chef) and both schools used nothing but kitchen aid. worked in school cafeteria and they used kitchen aid. my stand mixer was a annivrsary gift from my husband. it is very sturdily built. it is a heavy mixer. i've made everyhting from angel hair pasta to bread dough and cookies annd peanut butter pie. i wouldn't have any other brand.
