Okay I am a college student trying to budget. I am right now on Verizon wireless 2 year contract with my parents and I pay only $60.00 a month (it should be more but my parents pay for it) but I want my own phone plan. I noticed that Boost Mobile have a plan that shrinks every on time payments every 6 months. There are also t-mobile plans that does $50.00 for a 500mb or 2.5gb for $60.00. For at&t they have a plan that is pay as you go but their phones are very EXPENSIVE. Please suggest a phone plan that would be better for me.
Boost Mobile
Verizon Wireless
T-Mobile
AT&T
Sprint
Do not say Cricket I had that service and it was HORRIBLE.
If it helps, I own a Galaxy S4 and I only use 0.680gb on my phone. I want a plan that I can have unlimited everything for cheap at least. Please help!

I have sprint, and like you, i am on a budget as well. Currently, i pay 180.00 a month, that's unlimited everything, data, text, landline and cell calling. But that is with 2 phones.
When i only had my phone, I paid $80.00 a month for unlimited everything and i had the iphone 4...besides a few weak spots here and there, they seem the best for me for the price they offer. Verizon is way to expensive in general.

I would suggest you look into Ting. It is a pay as you go plan that has very inexpensive rates and you pay only for what you use. If you use your cell phone mainly for texting and calls, it can be a good option. You can get 500 voice minutes and 1,000 text messages a month for $20, and you can have multiple phones on an account (each phone costs $6 a month). If you did 4,000 texts a month, the cost would be $26.
I had been on PagePlus, but I found this to be much more affordable. Here's a link to their rates: https://ting.com/rates
Ting runs on the Sprint system, but when Sprint doesn't have coverage, it roams to Verizon at no additional cost. (Sprint's coverage where I live is lousy, but Verizon's is good.)
They do not make you pay up front, and you don't need a credit card, just a debit card.
Their data costs are pretty high, so if you use a lot of data, Ting isn't for you.
The biggest upfront cost is the phone. You can buy one from Ting, but the cheaper option is to get one on eBay or Craigslist. It must be a Sprint phone. The Ting website has a list of compatible devices. Be sure to check that list before you buy a phone. https://ting.com/devices/bring
If you decide to sign up, you can save $25 by doing so through this referral link (you save $25, I get a $25 credit.) https://zclb46257f5.ting.com/
