I assume you mean William Fichtner - He was in Quiz Show, he played a stage manager. Check out the link, you can see him a few times in the 38 second video. You can see him clearly at 3 seconds, 15 seconds, and 19 seconds. You can kind of see him at 25 seconds and at 34 seconds. It's the scene at the very beginning of the film.
