I wanna know the actual reason for underwear. Back then in little house on the prairie days, they wore undies to be clothed. Not naked.
Girls' undies in the 21 century is a little triangle in the front and a piece of string holding it all together.
I know it has a lot to do with strip trade sometimes but, if underwear is for being clothed then what's the point of undies now?

While on the same subject....if girls wear bikinis that only show everything but the nipple or vagina, why don't they just be nude?

Maybe they're trying to impress someone, or they're doing it as a reward.
My friend recently lost fifty pounds and bought a variety of "sexy" clothes to reward herself.
Honestly, I think it's wrong to generalize all underwear.
Not all panties leave everything "hanging out". And no, I'm not referring to granny panties. Underwear can be cute without being a g-string.
Underwear is good for preventing infection, as well as keeping your pants from getting dirty (many people use pads during their period, or pantyliners).
And on the topic of bikinis- many who wear bikinis aren't doing it for the sake of being nearly-naked.
They're doing it to get a decent tan in a manner that is still generally seen as socially acceptable.
At least, more acceptable than showing up at the local pool naked. That's usually frowned upon.
