why does disturbed get so much hate?
a few years ago i had a heated discussion with this guy who listened to bands like whitechapel and of mice and men and stuff like that. at the time i listened to only 4 bands. disturbed, metallica, skrillex, and green day. why did disturbed get TRASHED by this guy? we were both about 13 at the time, but still i dont understand how he could not like disturbed. he said the lyrics are **** and the screaming sucks. then he told me i need to listen to real heavy metal. i know his bands arent exactly heavy metal, but still y do people not like disturbed and call them pu$$ies and stuff like that?

But in the other hand, people can have a bad opinion about them since it's a matter of personal taste
Because people can have opinions that disagree with yours? Plus the more popular a band, the more hate they'll invariably get, especially something out of the norm like hard rock/metal/dubstep, and especially newer versions of these things that fans of the older versions will get grumpy about because its not exactly the same, as is evident with Metallica going from ...AJFA to Black Album to Load, and with Skrillex's existence as opposed to what dubstep was a decade ago.
I'd love to know the answer to that question, too. I've been a huge Korn fan for years and people would say I wasn't a metal head if I liked them. Nu metal IS ******* metal, people just don't want to accept it.
It's because a lot of metalheads/metal fans think it is "cool" to hate nu metal. Just ignore them.
