It sucks. their are people like Kellen Moore that is a really good quarterback but just because of his height people don't like him. Just a couple of inches shouldn't matter should it?
I totally agree with you. Personally, I do not believe that an inch (or two) difference in height makes that big of a difference on where a quarterback is drafted. The most important factor that should be looked at when drafting a quarterback is his/her work ethic. A quarterback can have all the size and talent in the world, but if he/she has a poor work ethic, he/she will end up being another Jamarcus Russell.
It helps but it doesn't always matter to be a little bit on the smaller side. QBs usually have some pretty big offensive linemen infront of them, not to mention the big defensive linemen that love to reach up and knock a pass down right back into the QB. Being able to see over that chaos is ideal, but not a must. Drew Brees isn't the tallest but look at him now. One of the best in the league.
2. If you are taller you will be able to throw much shorter passes because you get that downward angle. Look at Peyton Manning vs Brees. Brees can't throw manny of the passes peyton of Tom Brady can.
3. This one is iffy and doesn't always apply, but if you're taller, you probably weight more, and therefore are harder to sack.
The taller you are the better chance you have of passing any hands that might come up to tip the ball. But this isn't the reason people don't like short QBs.
You need to be tall, like 6 ft. or more, so you can see the receivers. If you were like 5'7'', it would be hard seeing over the lineman. Then you would be more prone to throwing an interception or being sacked.

this helps the qb by letting them have more view of the field and over the lineman

You cant have a midget quarterback to see over Giants!

They cant see the field because of the lineman in front of them.
