Basically, i have 5 female balloon mollies ( 4 grown fry, 1 adult mum) and 1 sail fin male molly. Now ive had the male for 3 years now and the adult f/ for just over a year. She has never mated with the sail fin and was pregnant when i first brought her. In the time i've had her she's had two lots of fry and have some living with her now from her second lot earlier this year. Over the past 2 months she seems to have grown in size and her belly also( i've always had my fish in a 25 litre tank). I recently put a bigger filter in the tank about 3 weeks ago but at first she didn't go anywhere near it was not interested in it and over the past week she has been frantically searching up and down the side of it. Could she be pregnant again as she did this to thr smaller filter i had the first 2 times she was about to drop although her and my male sail fin have never taken an interest in each other?

1. mollies are always having babies,
usually every few weeks or so
2. you just haven't been noticing
She could be pregnant. If the other fish also get big like her then u may be over feeding. I think she is probably pregnant or maybe she is bloated. Look for signs of her having trouble swimming or laying belly up or butt up at the top of the water or her swimming upside or sideways. If she starts to do this then she may have swim bladder and will need to be treated. Time is key. Hope I helped!
Mollies get large, they should be in a 30 gallon tank, 230 liters.
