No, Ray Allen will not start. This would be there lineup.
As of now, with the current players that they have.
PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: Dwyane Wade
SF: LeBron James
PF: Shane Battier
C: Chris Bosh
Sixth Man: Ray Allen
Rashard Lewis could possibly earn a starting role. But he will have to earn it. He will come off the bench and the Heat will go from there depending on how he plays.
That is the lineup that they used against the Thunder and it worked pretty well.
If you had Ray Allen start it would screw there whole lineup up. Wade would have to play PG and Ray Allen would need to play SG. If Wade plays PG, Chalmers and Cole will certainly get less minutes. Both of them only play PG. Plus Chalmers will lose the starting job that he has earned. Plus Ray Allen cannot be a starter that plays more than 30 minutes so why not have him at sixth man. It would be perfect.
Allen's definitely going to be a bench player in Miami, but he's going to fulfill a Sixth Man role for them. I see Wade playing a decent amount of minutes at PG next season, so Allen would probably get around 20 minutes a night. After all, Miami's entire strategy is to surround Wade and LeBron (two fantastic slashers) with outside shooters to create spacing and make defenses for playing help defense or double teaming...so it would make sense to maximize the amount of playing time that James, Wade, and Allen see together.
Allen and Wade are the two SGs able to playing PG this lineup is in all probability PG Dwyane Wade or Ray Allen SG Ray Allen or Dwyane Wade SF LeBron James or Rashard Lewis PF Rashard Lewis, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, or Udonis Haslem C Chris Bosh or Udonis Haslem The names closer to the positions are likelier Dwyane is right Dwayne and D'Wayne are incorrect contained in terms of Wade
