Was working fine the first day I brought the laptop (last week), I installed The Sims 2 and it wanted to change settings to Windows Xp Service Pack 2, now the sound is choppy and distorted when I try and play music.. yet the game sound is sometimes fine, sometimes bad.

I looked on google some other people are having the same problem so maybe it's not the game?
