My Fiancee and I are planning a honeymoon to Ireland in June. We have about a week there (maybe more, maybe less), and are flying in and out of Dublin. I'm not opposed to renting a car, as I'd like to see as much of the countryside as possible. We're looking for a romantic, relaxing holiday, while getting the full Irish experience. Any advice from locals and/or veteran Irish Honeymooners?
Also, is the Irish rail tour company worth looking into?

Rail travel can be expensive, and the rail net work will not bring you to all the remote and beautiful places in the country, so I guess hire a car, but that too is expensive. I'd start in Dublin, go up to Belfast, great city, do the bus tour. Then drive up to see the Giants Causeway.
After that go across to Donegal, stay the night, some of the best beaches in the world are there. Drive down to Sligo, and to Mayo, Ballina is lively, great for fishing, and great pubs.
Then spend 2 nights in Galway city, taking in the Aran Islands, before heading to my favourite, which is west Clare, stay in either Doolin, Ballyvaughan or Lisdoonvarna.
After all that you'll be ready for Kerry, Killarney is very popular with tourists, west Cork, try get to Baltimore, Schull or Clonakilty, before visiting the 'real Capital' Cork City.
then back up to Dublin via Wexford and Wicklow, and you should have a great time.
Have a look at the websites to see which of these places appeals to you most, and pick your nights accommodation there, I'd stay 2 nights in 3 key places and then drive around.
And, we don't tip the bar men here. !! Or, you could always go via the 'paddywagon', not very honeymoonish, but takes all the hassle out for you, and sounds like great craic.
junes the perfect time to go!! we don't really do summers anymore but you'll just get the end of our great spring...yea the irish rail tour is grand but can get pretty pricey so maybe a car might be your best idea...deffo check out galway/along the west coast, kerry, the burren in clare and wicklow is pretty cool too...there's a huge ceili on in the ceoltas in monkstown in dublin which is real cool...we brought our french exchanges there a while back...if ye get a chance, a walk along howth head...check out some of the beaches in galway or mayo...i dunno...e-mail me wit any questions if ye want...
if you go around the coast you would take in the nice counties eg Antrim, Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin. i would advise you to do this as (no offence) the midlands arent the nicest places and you would see the Giants Causeway, The lakes of Galway/Mayo, the Cliffs of Moher in Clare, The Mountains in Wicklow and Kerry, the cities of Dublin and Cork, the Ring of Kerry, and waterford Crystal
If you're only staying a week; I'd say stay in Dublin and do 2 day trips. One to the Boyne valley;Newgrange and Tara, and the other to glendalough. Otherwise You'll spend all your time on the road instead of enjoying your selves
