I just bought a 77 power wagon Auto transmission. When I put it in park or natural it idles fine but when when I put it in reverse or drive it bogges down and dies anyone have any ideas. Thanks for any help.Update:If I hold the gas peddle downs some to keep it from dieing it's ok but if I stop at a red light or stop sign it will die.. check for a vacuum leak, check and replace the vacuum lines, check the vacuum diaphragms, check the egr valve is not stuck open, check the timing, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, make sure the carburetor is in proper adjustment, perform a compression check, perform a cylinder leak down test.
