Already getting a bit bored of GTA Online and BF4 so I'd like to know if there are any good, cheap underrated games out there. Please leave details about the games and their prices!
Spec Ops: The Line (Around 20$) has a great storyline. You are a special ops leader sent with your two squadmates to Dubai, India. It is 6 months after the largest sandstorm in history, the city is destroyed. An army was sent in immediately to help the city evacuate, but the army was never heard of until 6 months after the sandstorm, so you are sent it to discover what happens. I won't give any spoilers but I love this game. No more than 2 years old I believe, good graphics. Mainly Singleplayer, with forgettable multiplayer. (3rd Person Shooter)
Bioshock: Infinite isn't overrated, it is one of the only two games in Game Informer (World's Number 1 Gaming Magazine) that got a perfect score in 2013. You are Booker DeWitt, a man sent to a floating city to recover a girl. The only thing you are told, bring us the girl and your debt will be wiped away, within 5 minutes you are sent to the floating city, and it has the absolute greatest plot of any game I have ever played. Absolutely worth your money. Great first person shooter. I believe this is anywhere from 20$ to 30$, probably more like 30$. (Single Player First Person Shooter)
Borderlands 2 came out September 2012, this is probably in the 20 to 30$ range. It is basically a cartoony looking game, which received I think like a 9.75 in Game Informer, or some other high rating. You are a vault hunter sent to a world to discover a vault and it's secrets, it's got a good amount of comedy, but overall it is a great game. Great co-op multiplayer. (First Person Shooter)
I'll put the link to the website in sources so you can see what the graphics look like.
Far Cry 3 is another amazing game in the 20 to 30$ range. Amazing graphics, and storyline. Single player only. You are Jason Brody, you and your friends get stranded on an island after celebrating your little brother getting his pilot license. You are kidnapped by pirates and you have to fight your way to find your friend's and get off the island. This is definitely worth a buy.
In order of what I would say are the best are...
Bioshock Infinite
Far Cry 3
Borderlands 2
Spec Ops: The Line.
Spec Ops: The Line is probably the most underrated game as the other three are very popular. However all of these are great games and you will not be disappointed. Hope this helps.
Definitely "The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings: Enhanced Edition". You can find it at most game stops and it's about 20-30$... I've played and beaten the game several times. There are two story lines based on in game decisions and each is amazing. And to add to that the combat style is fluent. The game is more medieval based but also has some newer aspects to it, all around great game you can play over and over. Hope this helped.
P.S. There is a first one for pc it's not necessary to play but if you want it's a pretty good game.
Try The Darkness and The Darkness 2. The Darkness 2 isn't that good compared to The Darkness, but it's a good game. The Darkness is one of the best comic-book games ever made and one of the best underrated games of this generation of consoles. Try Dark Sector. Dark Sector is one of the best underrated games of this generation of consoles. Try Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows and that game is the best underrated game of this generation of consoles. You can buy those games for 20 dollars at retail stores like Target or Bestbuy or Walmart and you can but them used for 10 0r 15 dollars from Gamestop or Play N' Trade.
I'd recommend Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It's a pretty fun RPG. It may not be as good as skyrim, but it's definitely worth playing. It plays like a third person action adventure game. You can choose between different classes and races to make your character, and there is a large assortment of weapons and spells you can give to your character. You can get it used at gamestop for about 30 bucks.

The only things that come to mind are Bully, The Incredible Hulk, and Ghostbusters. I can't name prices but all probably cheap.
Also, Halo Reach, Batman Arkham Asylum, and Portal 2 ($20 at Walmart) are cheap, but not underrated games.
Also, check XBLA and indie, as well as searching high and low for underrated gems at Gamestop. (go for pre-owned games).
Don't even get me started on underrated PS2 games.

Witcher was is all right, but there are other better hidden gems out there. Crackdown, for example, is a cheaper and much better GTA clone.

'Wet' is a pretty fun game to play and has a brilliant tarantino effect to it. Definately underrated.
