I am a teen and I am auditioning for my school's play Peter Pan!! For auditions I need a monolouge and a song!! I would love all the feedback I get!! Please help out!!
Currently Mamma Mia probably has the most recognizable opening monologue, check it out on You Tube for a young girl. If you think you need to go more classic, better hope for better answers. But I think Mamma Mia would be a great audition.
Okay one thing you need to do is stay away from overused monolouges and songs. If you want to do a Shakespeare monolouge then don't make it from Romeo and Juliette or A Midsummers Night Dream, Hamlet, ect. because they will think you have no imagination, a good shakespeare play to look for monolouges in would be "The Merchant of Venice" or even "Twelft Night"..... Also im auditioning for my school play "Hello Dolly" and im singing a disney song called "Someone's waiting for you". Disney songs are always good for high school plays, they are apropriate and not a lot of them have an insaine range they are usually Mezzo or Alto with some lower sopranos so they work really well.
prepare a monologue from willy wonka. As for the song attempt to discover a bite that quite exhibits off your selection. Are you a soprano or an alto? of those are your a usual or 2d?

I'm doing a really great monologue from the play Agnes of God by John Pleimer. You can find alot on line as well if you just search for them.
As far as songs, it depends on your voice part but make sure to sing something simple that you are strong at.
