Long story short, I have to get 7 teeth removed (including 4 wisdom teeth). They said there was an infection, and they said they'd have to get them out ASAP. They've got me an appt scheduled, and they said I'm going to have to be put to sleep. I'm 20 weeks pregnant, but I thought I lost the baby but I didn't. He's alive and well. Before I tell my oral surgon about my pregnancy, will being put under while pregnant harm the baby? Well the vicodin hurt too? Please I want real answers before I go. Thanks. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I'd like to hear it from you guys first. And are there any alternatives? Thanks again.

I had several teeth removed and I was not put under. I remember watching the procedure in the reflection from the dentist's glasses, no big deal, local anesthesia only. They don't have to put you under. You have to tell them and research the risks yourself too. You also have to make sure that the antibiotics they have you take are safe for baby as well.
