i just got my 3ds and the last device i had was the gameboy sp also.
Heres what i reccomend:
Super Mario 3d land( a must have)
any pokemon games for the ds( pearl, diamond, black , white, soul silver, heartgold, black2, white 2)
Mario kart 7
if you like zelda then, Zelda ocarina of time 3d
Mario Kart ds
New super mario bros and New super mario bros 2
Kingdom hearts 3D dream drop distance is amazing, along with 358/2 Days.
Also, Pokemon X and Y are coming soon (before Christmas I think)
I highly recommend those games...
Also anything Final Fantasy or Zelda is great, Mario games for 3Ds really killed it.
