i dont seem to know but the one that i find a lot in stores and dont seem too expensive is the Remmington straighteners, i have the remmington pearl, it doesnt straighten as quick, but it has a really smooth glide with real crushed pearls , so it doesnt pull your hair
I got a really good one with a ceramic plate (they don't do as much damage to hair as metal plates) and it works wonders! It has many heat settings as well. I've been using it for many years now, and it's still holding up. I recommend getting a Chi brand; that's the one I have. They're not very expensive, prices range from 40-$70. Here's one to look at. It's not too pricey.
I don't like the chi, try a plugged in.. it has ceramic shifting plates, where as the older versions of chi are better. its about 50-75 at your local sallys beauty supply
