business owner divorce?
husband and wife are biz owners. There are credit cards and debit that is in husband's name that should have been in the business name. if they divorce does the wife have to pay for 1/2 the debt that is in his name? should they move it to the business name?

This is something that needs a lawyer and preferably before any actual divorce is filed. They may also want to consider incorporation so that the business is a separate entity. That way it can be continued or can be sold with as little havoc as possible.
There is on one he has to this and she has to that as most anything can be requested in the filing of divorce papers and if that is what the judge orders then that is what happens unless there are appeals etc.
