Okay, so I'm a HUGE caffeine drinker. I didn't find out that I was pregnant until about week 5 or 6. When I did find out though I stopped drinking caffeine altogether. I miscarried at about week 11 or 12, I'm not exactly sure. I'm just wondering if that could have triggered it.
I mean, I know there are many things that can go wrong, but I'm just wondering if that might have played a part in it.
Thanks.

I was a big caffeine drinker and I didn't find out I was pregnant till 8 weeks, I didn't stop drinking caffeine just cut back to the recommended amount of 200mg-500mg a day. I believe not stoping totally would help prevent a miscarriage so your body doesn't go through withdrawls. I am now 24w5d pregnant and still have caffeine a couple times a week and my baby is doing great!
I'm sorry about your loss, some researches show caffeine can lead to miscarriage others say there's no proof!
Well, anything in really large amounts can't be good for your body, though I doubt you're consuming the amount of caffeine just in liquid form that would trigger that type of thing. If it was a legitimate problem then we would all know about it (the way that we're constantly informed by the FDA and doctors of the potentially negative effects of alcohol on a fetus, etc).
very doubtful hun, i'm a big caffeine drink as well, i did with my son, obviously not as much as i'd like, and he turned out fine and i'm 36 weeks tomm with my 2nd baby and shes great so far and i drink it on and off.
I have had a miscarriage in nov 09 due to bleeding around my placenta, no reason as to why it happened. i don't think your miscarriage had anything to do with caffeine.
Yes it is possible. Don't worry yourself, because you didn't even know you were pregnant and you may have miscarried anyway.
Anything over about 2 cups of coffee per day has been shown to DOUBLE the chances of miscarriage.
Since you already stopped caffeine, try to keep yourself limited so that the next time you become pregnant you will have no worries.
good question. i would like to know the answer to this too. It would be GREAT if somebody would answer this question soon!
