Hi there! I'm going to the Ellen Degeneres show tomorrow and seeing One Direction perform (cannot contain my enthusiasm).
Some of my friends have VIP seating, but I have General Admission (which is standing only).
Which do you think is better or closer? My guess is General Admission is closer since it is standing and the camera wants shots of fans crowding around the stage, but I'm not sure.
Even if you are not sure, your opinion is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.

In terms of TV shows, they will always issue more tickets than seats available this way they will always have a full show. For example if the studio capacity is about 300, they may issue 400-500 tickets.
Most likely VIP means that they are guaranteed entry into the taping and just how much of a VIP they are depends on how good of a seat they get. As for your GA tickets, if they are like other shows those are generally not guaranteed, where you will enter after the VIP's taking up any remaining spaces. So you will most likely be seated/standing farther away, and if you get there too late you may not even get in.
So I would say it would be best to get there as early as possible so you are as far up in the line as you can be to improve your chances of getting in. I would also suggest you read every bit of small print on your tickets as to what they say about arriving at the studio to be sure you don't run into any issues.
I'm not trying to discourage you, just giving you a heads up as to what may happen.
hmm... if you're going to see somebody perform it's probably better seating, little events like meet-and-greets, and discounts on stuff like souvenirs
V.I.P Would cost more so naturally it should defiantly be better.
