Recently, my school has adopted a new dress code policy that states all students must wear a Polo shirt and tuck it in with a belt and whoever does not conform gets a referal and or suspension.
Over the passing weeks some close friends and I have been having a discussion about how we were feeling and we came to the relization that we have all been deeply depressed lately.
So my question is, could it be the new polocy making us depressed? and how much emotional damage could this inflict on the student body?
Update:Before you say it, Yes. I did petition it. and I got 2,000+ signatures and they overlooked me because i'm 16.
Also, I know that self confidence can go way down and you can feel unconfterble in your skin, we wear what makes us feel most comfterble, could this also play a role?

Polocy?
Nice ;)
Wait, sorry for being opposed. But uniform never cause emotional damage. I have been wearing uniforms since 4 years now and it never ever affected anyone. Polo shirts are cool. I think you are all being frustrated about the idea of wearing uniforms but trust me you are will be getting used to this.
i personally do not think that the new policy is making you all depressed, it's impossible. I mean how can uniform make you all depressed.
If you are against uniforms just please make a petition.
it can sometimes... but dont let that effect you! i wore a uniform for like 6 years of school and even in preschool. so it probably can, but i didnt let it effect MY LIFE. also, dont let it affect your usual wadrobe. been there done that. i wore a uniform for school for so long that i started dressing soo insane because i felt limited to what i had to wear at school. so try on focusing on the bright side of wearing a school uniform.... like.... you dont have to stress about picking out your outfit the next day? ; )
