Hi i brought some spinach from the supermarket eight days ago and forgot i had it would it still be ok to use it's in a packet that is unopened and left in the refrigerator. (i think its expiry date was the 3rd)
i don't like to waste things if i can help it lol

if its not black and slimy and nasty, then yes you can use it.
No produce spoils according to a calendar date.
If it looks good it is good.
As long as it's not gone all yellow and slimy it should be fine to use still. I'd put it in a sweet potato curry, personally, that way it's all wilted down and if it doesn't taste quite so fantastic it won't spoil the recipe. But with veg you can tell by the sight and the smell whether it's gone off.
If it still seems fresh when you open it, then use it. If it's just a little off, you could still steam or saute it.
If it has wilted and gone floppy then throw it out, if it is still fairly firm, just wash it and cook, it should not be a problem ....
Yuck I wouldn't use it.
