Genius and stupidity are generally not related to insanity. Either can be sane or insane.
When a person in clearly insane it is a normal reaction for people to blame his insanity on his most pronounced trait. If he is an atheist, chemist, genius or national leader, those things are the first to receive the blame whether it is true or not.

The people who are like this are called phaseburns (def- A twisted or mentally insane person. Someone who walks the thin line between genius and insanity. Also known as a "Network Administrator")
To explain this, you have to go to YouTube and watch all the episodes of Monty Python
the two insanity and genius are subjective. i don't think of they're in any way appropriate, surely. The craziest people i've got ever suggested have been a number of the main ignorant and the main clever people in my realm are mature and robust and to blame. The confusion comes while the so talked approximately as genius comes up with a clean theory and the fewer clever hundreds- being as they're- don't understand what's occurring so- being as they're- they attack it and doubt it and get in touch with the guy loopy....until the assumption bears fruit, then they alter his label to genius. a real madman (if there rather is this variety of ingredient) would not unavoidably have new recommendations and if he does they have a tendency to happen incoherent and nonsensical. relatively, the so talked approximately as genius looks loopy or insane, on a similar time as the madman rather is.
There is mostly links of a positive correlation between creativity and mental illness. A positive correlation doesn't necessarily mean that being highly creative means you will have mental illness, but rather there is a definite and documented trend.
There is a lot of speculation with few concrete answers. There are theories that highly active brains found in exceptionally creative people also creates a highly active and unstable personality. There are other theories that suggest the portions of our brain where creativity arises are able to transmit stronger signals than parts of the frontal lobe which exercises judgement and behavioral regulatory functions can control.
I think that really smart people are usually a little crazy because they're brains work on such high levels that they just can't stop thinking and imagining and they just imagine so much and see so many possibilities that they can't help but go crazy thinking about it. Plus, extremely intelligent people usually think differently than the average person so it can be hard to understand.
