I'm a young woman who is slim and tall. (Ignore the fact that my face looks like an ape.)
Say I were to walk, unclothed, down the street like there was no care in the world. How long would it take before I would be under arrest for public nudity? Hypothetically speakng, do you think it would matter to anyone as long as I didn't do anything to give myself away in any immoral fashion?
Just trying to theorize as to how this would go; I am not, and would never, consider doing this in real life. But I DO wonder about it (how seriously people oppose nudity in public areas.) What would happen and how would I be prosecuted? What legal charges would I face? Would I end up in prison?

BQ: Would a man who did the exact same thing face the same charges and prosecution? Would he be taken under arrest quicker or would he go un noticed for a longer period of time?
BQ2 [Optinal]: Would the event be more dynamic if I were in a different fitness condition? (i.e. obese, or if I were skeletal)

I think you would be arrested within about 15 min and about 5 min with a man. The man posses more of a disturbing sight and would instil fears of molestation or eating a mans face off. I don't think the fitness condition would do anything to increase the time, but it may get more or less lookers. oh yeah the police code is a 311. public nudity. It's also the name of a popular 90's rock band. lol
It wouldn't be long and I don't see how walking unclothed down the street doesn't mean you were "giving yourself away in any immoral fashion".
You'd just be charged with public nudity (you do get arrested so I guess you do go to jail but only for a short time).
BA: Men tend to get more time than women for the same crimes.
BA2: It'd be very offensive, especially if you're obese. Imagine the horror of seeing Rosie O'Donnell naked.
It depends on where you were. In Key West FL, my physician had a proclivity to strip naked whenever she was at the beach. This beach is on the main thoroughfare around the island. After being warned a few times the cops finally arrested her on the beach because , it was said, she became irate while being told to put a bikini on and hit the cop.
She would always ask me how my sex life was even if I went to her with bronchitis. She'd ask my husband how his sex life was whenever he went to her. That embarrassed him. She was an odd woman but a real doctor. She finally left town after getting in a feud with some of the city councilmen (I don't know what about).
But she got away with being naked in public over and over.
Women can always get away with nudity longer than men can.
I was in a protest a couple months ago, in down-town.
There was a naked girl riding a bike inside the crowd for several hours and no one did anything about it. Some were cheering her on. I guess we all had the same cause at heart so her nudity didn't matter one bit.
It may also be legal, but I haven't checked.
I live in the country near a small village and I would say no matter if you were a man or a woman or no matter how you looked, it would be a matter of minutes to get arrested if someone saw you and called the police. Otherwise you could walk the whole length of town and not get notice if all the stores were closed and nobody was around to see you.
Ironically, I just heard on the news this morning about a woman that was naked from the waist up. The police tried to pull her over for a moving violation, and instead of stopping [because she was naked], she tried to outrun the police.
She could have gotten a ticket for the violation, an indecent exposure, and instead she got the book handed to her for everything, just because she ran.
She explained that she was on her way to "surprise" her boyfriend...
If the same thing happened with a man, I believe society would view that differently, because more males [than females] are sexual predators, are more apt to do something like that [i.e., public nudity, streaking, etc...] than females.
public nudity is a sex crime now. you would be on the sex offender database. cops respond as quickly as possible and will arrest you. i don't think prison would result from it however.
i think it possible that you would be in less trouble than you would be if you were a 300 pounder. discrimination against the obese is perfectly acceptable in our society.
a man would be treated harsher. he would have a higher priority than a naked babe.
it is unlikely that others think you look like an ape. we are usually our own harshest critics.
That would be called streaking.
Depends on whether or not the arresting officers are perverted and are simply enjoying the strip show.
But in most cases, you would be penalized like anyone else and the time it would take would depend on if there are cops present in the area you're streaking in and/or if someone sees you and reports.
After tracking down the only female officer in town, the cops would probably have her sensitively handle the situation, making sure you were ok.
The man would be assaulted by vigilantes and arrested immediately when the police arrived.
If the naked person's body is nice, most people would just go about their business. If the body was obese, then it would be gross. (Skeletal: Probably not a big deal).
