Im taking Algebra 1 in 8th grade. I want to take Algebra 2 in 9th grade, but i thought the only way was to take geometry in summer school. Is this possible? Also, in wekiva high they have a scholar academy. Can I take algebra 2 in 9th grade if I sign up?

i took algebra 1 in 8th and now taking geometry.(geometry is super easy) now i'm regretting my choice of not taking algebra 1 as a 7th grader. now knowing when i take calculus as a senior it will count as a credit for college. point is you'll regret later if you don't talk algebra 2 as a freshman
well your questioned got me thinking i should talk to my counselor. you should talk to your counselor too. i'm sure you can take it if your teacher recommends you.
You should go and see your councilor. Each school district has different policies. If it is required for you to know the geometry material for ninth grade algebra you should consider covering it. It is probably a good idea for you to take the summer school course because in math you build off of concepts that you know. It is impossible to do well in a new level if you are unsure about the prior lessons. I'm am in trigonometry and know how hard it is to try and understand new concepts without knowing the old ones.
