I'm 16 and my dad and I have saved up 14,000 for my first car. Now I need to know what car I should get. I was thinking a used 2007 BMW 328xi or a 2004 Subaru WRX STI. Both are powerful I know but I'm not a street racer or anything. I was also thinking a 2008 Nissan Altima 290 horsepower (It's not stock.) All of these are used. Any other suggestions.
Update:I'm a very good driver. Driving comes naturally to me. I'm not going to race like I said I want a car with power that's all. I don't like being behind the wheel of a weak 4 cylinder.

I hate to break this to you, but you are a lousy driver. Driving isn't a talent, it's a skill. Some people have abilities that make them better drivers, such as professional racers, but for most people, it is a learned skill.
That said, you are looking at an awful lot of power for someone your age, and the insurance will bear that out. Further, the cops just love to stop a teenager in a high powered ride.
Consider this, a well placed cinder block can drive a car at 150 MPH. It can't turn one though. You are much better off finding something really reliable, with good mileage, and with really good handling. Driving a low powered car with excellent handling characteristics is much more rewarding then driving dropping your foot in a WRX and seeing how fast you can get a ticket. Ask any Miata owner.
For 14K you can get a used Acura TS, a Honda SI, a Gold GTI, a Mini, something with decent power, but not too much, and you will have lower insurance, less visibility to cops, and you will have the opportunity to hone your skills so as you move up the horsepower ladder and you will be much safer.
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I have two teenaged boy drivers, and I know of what I speak.
A new BWM 3 series is a 4 cylinder.
Mitsubishi eclips spyder turbo very fast or the 2002 Mitsubishi EVO VII they are not expensive and with 14 grand can get one for very low miles on it the two cars are fetured in 2 fast 2 Furious
Don't get the Nissan if someone modified it you will end up with all kinds of reliability issues. Personally I would get the BMW, I like sauerkraut more than rice.
in case you like some thing diverse and you will locate them, 80 5-87 buick gn or swifter regal, GMC syclone or hurricane. additionally they carry their fee and benefit it. the final gen camaros and T/As are achievable and are alot swifter than the mustang GTs, even now. so some distance as imports and four bangers flow you may desire to get a used BMW M3, ward off neon SRT-4, nissan 300zx.
If I were you I would try to find a fairly new Honda Civic or Accord with low miles, it will last and won't have many problems, plus they're also relatively efficient
