I am going to be applying to grad school soon and I'm concerned about my chem grades and how they will look to the schools that I apply.
I took general chemistry and got a C+ C- and A- in the following order and got an A in intro ochem class. I still have to take organic chemistry lab and biochemistry. Does it look better if I can do well in Ochem and possibly biochem and not gen chemistry?

Well. I am a Chemistry Major and I do not think it matters unless you are applying to graduate degree in chemistry. Ochem is harder than gen chem classes so yes that is good that you got an A on ochem. it is really hard to get A on biochem cause it is mostly memorizing and the material is vast. so if you did well in your bio classes i think you will be in a good position to get a B+ or better on biochem.
however If you had a semester left i will advice you to retake Gen chem and get the A cause it is the easiest chem class out there and i bet you did bad cause it was during your first semester in college and you were not used to the change in studying habits. or you had a really bad teacher.
Oh and i think most grad schools pay more attention to your GRE score than how many Cs you got in your undergrad years. so do solid on GRE and all will be well.
hope this helps.
ok, hear. Take AP physics. you already understand some thing in bio due on your sophomore 12 months type. it is not a reliable concept to take the two AP physics and AP bio on a similar time. you will finally end up with an surprising and unmanagable volume of artwork. I very nearly drowned with in basic terms AP bio this 12 months. besides to those AP sciences, you're additionally making plans on taking AP English, which includes various artwork, AP phychology, which i'm unsure of the subject of, and AP Calculus, it extremely is the toughest AP available. you do not have adequate frees to get all of this artwork finished. It seems a lot extra ideal on your college purposes to work out which you probably did properly in one confusing AP technology, then mediocre in 2 confusing AP sciences. i actually rigidity to take AP Physics.
